Burke Centre Conservancy Virtual BOT Meeting Guidelines & Instructions

Burke Centre Conservancy Zoom Meetings (zoom.com) will be offered to Burke Centre Conservancy members as AUDIO ONLY. Video will be disabled for all participants. Meetings are recorded for office use only. A meeting summary will be published in the following month’s Conservator newsletter.

Member/Resident input will be offered during the meeting with a 3-minute limit for non-agenda items; and a 2-minute limit for agenda items. Members may also submit questions/comments via email in advance of the meeting to administration@burkecentre.org. Please indicate that the email message is for “July 7 Board Meeting Input”.

Please join the meeting using the link or the Meeting ID and Password as provided below. Please be sure to ENTER YOUR NAME. There is also a dial-in option that will allow you to call into the meeting (disguising your phone number for security purposes) to listen but not participate. The phone number to call is also provided below.


You do not need to have a Zoom account to join the meeting.

Residents who are joining to participate please be sure to join with your device audio.You will enter the meeting muted. PLEASE NOTE that you will not be able to un-mute yourself during the meeting.

Since the meeting is audio only, we are requesting that you do not turn on your camera. Any cameras that are turned on may be disabled by the Host.

Once resident input begins, use the raise your hand prompt on the Zoom menu to participate:

  • When it is your turn to speak, the Host will un-mute you.
  • Please state your name upon being un-muted.
  • You will be given a total of three minutes to speak regarding non-agenda items. Resident Input will be accepted for items that are on the agenda at the time they are discussed and limited to two minutes.
  • Once that time has ended please be sure to lower your hand.

ADMINISTRATIVE AND POLICY RESOLUTION # 1-2020-1
BASKETBALL COURT RULES

WHEREAS, Article VI, Section 1, of the Declaration of Covenants and Restrictions for Burke Centre Conservancy (hereinafter referred to as the Association) authorizes the Board of Trustees to adopt policies for the management and control, for the benefit of the Members, of the Common Areas and Amenities; and

WHEREAS,
it is the intent of the Board of Trustees of Burke Centre to provide guidelines and establish rules and regulations for the management of these amenities; and

WHEREAS,
the Board of Trustees has deemed it appropriate to establish rulesand regulations within the Association for the use of basketball courts and 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE ITRESOLVED, that the following rules are adopted for the use of basketball courts within the Burke Centre Conservancy:
 
Basketball courts are for the exclusive use of Burke Centre Conservancy Members and their invited guests. A Conservancy Member must be present in order for their guests to use the courts.

Basketball courts are considered open, and may be used between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. No person shall use the courts unless they are open. 


Alcoholand other intoxicants are prohibited on or around the courts. 

Smokingis prohibited on or around the courts.


Foodis prohibited on the courts.

Amplified music from radios or other devices is prohibited on or around the courts. 

Glassor other breakable containers are prohibited on or around the courts.

Use of profane, obscene, oroffensive language is prohibited on or around the courts.


Roughplay, abusive conduct and fighting is prohibited on or around the courts.
 
Pets (except service animals) are prohibited on the courts.
 
All refuse must be placed in containers provided for this purpose. If no containers are provided, refuse must be removed from the site.
 
Climbingon the backboards or hanging from the rims is prohibited.
 
Courts may be used on a first come, first served basis unless a reservation schedule is maintained on a board at the court. If a reservation board is present, the following shall apply:

·        Reservationsfor play shall not be made earlier than the day before the requested time.
·        Thenames of all players shall be posted with the requested time.
·        Court time shall be forfeited if players do not show up within ten (10) minutes of the reserved time.
·        The maximum amount of court time per use that can be reserved is sixty (60) minutes.

Proper attire and appropriate shoes shall be worn on the courts at all times. 

Burke Centre is not responsible for the loss of or damage to any personal property used or left in the court area.

Burke Centre shall install appropriate signage summarizing court rules at all full court basketball courts. Such signage shall warn against trespassing.
